How does the bet multiply?

In Tavla Plus, the bet amount raises if one of the players wishes to double it. You may increase the bet by clicking the doubling cube. When it's your turn, you may click the doubling cube. The bet will multiply by two each time a player clicks the cube, e.g. 2, 4, 6 ,8, 16, 32, 64.
